Support Engineer - Spain

Liferay is looking for a support engineer to join its team in Madrid, Spain. The position is meant for candidates seeking a technical career with large opportunities for professional and personal development. Main responsibilities

  • Respond to technical issues reported by customers. Requires written and spoken technical skills.

Alliance Manager - France

Liferay is looking for an Alliance Manager to represent Liferay to its partners and customers in France and other French-speaking markets. Sales Representative - Germany, Switzerland, Austria

Liferay is looking for an experienced sales representative to work with our potential customers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria who has enterprise software or related sales experience. Moreover experience in open source software, middleware and or software integration markets is an advantage.

As a Liferay Sales Representative, you will be responsible for executing our strategy for growing and expanding the Liferay customer base. You will be responsible for handling Enterprise level opportunities and working with C-level members of organizations who need to increase their company's productivity through Liferay's unique, enterprise-class portal, content management and collaboration platform.

You understand the sales representative is the first interaction customers will have with Liferay, and you know that consultative sales vs. high-pressure sales will help you to meet and exceed your quarterly/annual revenue quota requirements.

You love to travel to get in front of prospective customers and are comfortable meeting with everyone from engineers to executives. You also value virtual meetings and are able to easily adapt your pitch to the nuances of WebEx and GoToMeeting.

You are a quick learner and know how to demonstrate a complex software application (with the occasional help of a Sales Engineer). You also know how to read your audience and can speak to business value vs. technical value, or vice-versa, as required.

Account Manager – Germany

Liferay GmbH is looking for Account Managers to work with its international team at its EU headquarters in Eschborn near Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Liferay's customers, helping them to make the most of their investment in Liferay technology and working to ensure their satisfaction with their Liferay subscription. The Account Manager shall be the customer's advocate within the Liferay organization, communicating the customer's needs with respect to professional services, training and documentation, or architectural assistance and coordinating a response from various divisions of the Liferay organization. The Account Manager will also assist in communicating new feature requests or product improvements from customers to the Liferay Product Management team. Account Managers should also identify opportunities to expand Liferay's use and application in an organization and work with sales representatives to close such opportunities. Finally, Account Managers should use their intuitive skills to discern high-potential clients and to apply the right mix of complementary and paid-for services to keep Liferay's customers happy.

Junior Engineer, Support Services – Germany

Liferay GmbH is building a Support Services engineering team for the German market and is looking for Junior Engineers to work with its international team at its EU headquarters in Eschborn near Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The Junior Engineer is the first line of support for Liferay's subscription customers and helps to ensure customers are satisfied with their Liferay subscription. Junior  Engineers shall help to diagnose technical difficulties that arise in the use of Liferay software, collecting relevant information, applying known patches or workarounds, and educating customers on the proper use of the software. Junior Engineers will experience a rapid learning curve and be exposed to a number of leading Java-related technologies used in modern application development, including databases, operating systems, application servers, enterprise software packages (including ERP, CRM, and financials), as well as leading development frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring, and JQuery. Junior Engineers will also receive comprehensive exposure to the concerns of running production enterprise systems, including load balancing, clustering, and virtualization technologies. 

Candidates should possess a good number of the following qualities:

Alliance Manager - Nordic Region

Liferay is looking for an Alliance Manager to represent Liferay to its partners and customers in Nordic markets, primarily Finland and Sweden, followed by Norway and Denmark. Finland is one of Liferay's most active markets, with many Liferay-based websites and a vibrant community that puts Finland as the 14th highest country among visitors to Liferay.com. Sweden is in the top 30 visitors to the site and notable sites include Kanal 5's web presence.

The Alliance Manager will work in combination with Liferay's EU teams and its Nordic partners to sell Liferay software and help deliver successful business solutions to customers.

Marketing Manager - Germany

Operations Manager - Germany

Legal Counsel - Europe

Liferay is seeking applicants for the full-time position of in-house corporate counsel in the US and at its offices in Eschborn just outside Frankfurt, Germany.

The applicant should have significant experience with contract law in the software industry, with particular attention paid to applicants with experience in open source software, licenses, and contracts. Responsibilities include contract review and negotiations with other organizations. As our Legal Counsel, you will also help draft new agreements for OEM, VAR, channel relationships, and other agreements as necessary, as well as advise us on general legal matters that arise in the course of operations. Additionally, you will work together with other lawyers to help streamline our legal processes.

Candidates for the US should be fluent in English.  Candidates for our European office should be fluent in English and German. Fluency in other languages (French, Italian) is a plus.
