I have the following requirement-

I would like anybody to come and do the shopping on the website.

I do not want user to login to do the shopping.

I tried liferay 4.1.3 and 4.2.2 ..in all these versions it requires user to login when we proceed for checkout.

Is this a bug or anything to do with permissions. Can any one let me know ?

Even if we accept sign in for check out it works as follows.
While check out it goes to sign in page and once we sign in it takes to user desktop. Not to Shopping cart where we have left out.

I am looking a good solution to it.How to resolve this problem.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

I have to second that -- we want to use the shop to sell the support memberships -- so we can pay for the hosting etc. but you have to have an account in order to purchase -- seems silly if not plain wrong emoticon

the two other issues I have with this portlet which otherwise is really cool is that I have not found a way to make it show the articles on the 1st page instead of the category (we have only 4 articles) so the category does not do us any good.

and finally having a google checkout as well would be cool. But first and foremost the permission error message needs to be fixed -- please help

Hi Martin, Jack, Poornima,

There are some planned improvements ahead in the shopping portlet. Also if your three companies are interesting in sponsoring the developments you miss for your needs we can set it up and share the costs. We've done that in the past with great success. If you are interested please contact sales at liferay.com.

Jorge,

I am also looking for a solution for a guest user to use the shopping portlet without logging in. I can contribute the changes to the community at the end. Please put me in touch with someone who can help me with some questions that I have with the code.
