A simple solution..
1. Create a web content which holds the flash.. thats just html with <object>
2. Create/choose the layout which can hold that web content display portlet..

Oh.. and if you want to generate that kind of flash-like animation.. then you probably need to find some javascripts banners or generate one.. emoticon

And, I forgot that on Liferay.com these are not flash, just images with some javascript.

HI Szymon,

I followed link that u recommend for creating image slideshow -> http://myjavaexp.blogspot.com/2010/11/integrating-coin-slider-with-liferay.html

. But i phased two problem

1.When i download package provided by site i am able to get all files with same name as give in screenshot in blog but only css file is some i got in php format.
2.While applying theme on webcontent i am unable to capture location of particular folder by clicking on selec button , as it start downloading content rather than capturing location.
3.Last problem which i faced is of image folder location in image gallery , as it is not getting displayed in slideshow once i click on finish.
4. Also i found some text appearing on webcontent on which i applied slideshow template.

I am attaching screenshot of my screen as well as one which i am aiming to make that is of liferay.com screen.

Thnks in advnc!!!

1. What do you mean by not getting images on your webcontent?
2. You mean you choose right images using IMG_SRC field but it's not displaying?
3. What version of Liferay Are you using?
4. Do you have any errors in javascript console?

Hi Zeeshan,

if you want the same like liferay.com then you can embed your flash code inside theme and can achieve the same flash look.
you should have flash code available to embed.

Hi all!

Very often in this forum there are links to http://liferaycms.blogspot.com but this Web site is a pure ads distributor :-)

Someone can explain me why ???

Thank you in advance!

Hi Ivano,

This site is not pure ads distributor.
Did you find any difficulty to look the content from this site or any harmful content you are looking out on that ?
You can check there are many important liferay related information given on that blog.
yes some google ads widget included in that sites but it doesn't show any harmful information.

Hi Jignesh,

Its true that the information on the blog is quite useful. But if no adblock plugin is installed then ads appear and it covers the whole screen and we can't properly see and copy the content..

If you can use ads in a different way.. like no full page ads then there should be no issues with browsing.. but currently there is emoticon

I agree... when you access to the site the entire page is obscured by an ad.... and there is non way to free the page....

There is no X or other link to cancel the ad ....

Thank you in advance for any help!

Yeah, it looks like useful info. I used a debugger to dismiss the giant irritating popup ad and was able to access. but accessing any other page brings back the giant irritating ad. Is there anyway to remove this?
