For Liferay 6.x - If anyone has experience with testing themes without needing to compile & deploy them using the SDK ant tasks, then it would be great if they could review the following Wiki page http://www.liferay.com/community/wiki/-/wiki/Main/Fast+Theme+Development.

The overhead that the SDK introduces to the development of themes is placing Liferay in the shadows of products like Wordpress in the eyes of our web designers. I suspect this relates to a difference of midset between web developers and designers more generally. The Wiki page describes an elegant solution to this, but it appears to have stopped working with Liferay 6.x .... or has it?

Exactly for this kinds of problems we have started a new liferay community project. Using this tool you can develop ANY liferay plugin without need of redeployment. Let me know if you need more infos or feel free to post any thoughts there.
