Hi,

I have liferay 6.1 EE on my system, I was trying to setup server (runtime & plugins sdk) on plain Eclipse for 6.1 EE.

I did plugins sdk part successfully (by following link) where as while trying to set up runtime (for 6.1 EE) I am getting below dialog. I am trying to use generic JRE out side of any Liferay installation in Eclipse BUT I was not able to do so.

Please let me know if I am missing anything/ how can I resolve the same

That message is just information only. The CE server adapter will continue to work as expected. Let me know if you run into issues.

Is it the case he selected to use CE version for runtime/SDK? instead of EE version. Won't this become a problem if he decides
to create a ext plugin because there are some minor differences between CE and EE version.

I'm also wondering why he didn't select to use Liferay Visual Studio instead of Liferay IDE to develop for his liferay EE.

There maybe some differences in the server itself but from the implementation inside of DeveloperStudio and IDE they use identical codebase for working with Ext plugins.

I'm new to Liferay, tried to set up STS + Liferay IDE plugin and had same above problem emoticon
