Can anyone tell me what is the difference between processAction() and processEvent() if possible pls give me one real time Example .

processAction() is for processing Action requests. processEvent() is used to process Event requests.

Both of these are documented in the portlet 2.0 spec. As far as examples, it's best to do a google search before posting here as any examples you're looking for will quickly be found.

Hi,

ProcessAction is used for when you are performing some action in portlet ,like submission of form.

And ProcessEvent is for Inter Portlet Communication.

ProcessAction method is a part of Portlet Lifecycle as per Portlet 1 API and ProcessEvent introduced in Portlet 2 API.
