Hi All,

Can someone give me a guide on how to backup and restore the defined Organizations and User groups in my liferay portal without using a schema dump?

Hi ,

For backup you can export LAR files of that user group or organization.

Hi Dhruitika,

I did not know it's possible to export LAR files of user group or organization. I thought that it's only possible to export/import pages. Can you show me how you can export the user group or organization?

From Control Panel -> Users and Organization -> Export All Users, you'll be able to export users.

I'm not sure how to import them back in nor about export/import on User Groups.

I've personally created a portlet to export/import users/organization for my needs.

Hi...there is any way to export/import organizations in liferay. I dont care about the pages associated with the site, i just want to export the data of organizations and import this data in another portal.
