Hi all,

very new to LifeRay. I have to use version 4,2 of Liferay because it comes default with our EMC - IT Orchestrator software.

how can I quickly and easily change the default theme of LifeRay to igoogle?

looking forward to your responses.

regards

The easiest way is to version up your Liferay and install the igoogle theme from the download site.

Hi thank for the reply,

but like previously explained we cannot upgrade version due to EMC IT software workflows that will only work on version4.2.

thanks

It's either version down the igoogle theme or version up the EMC IT software. From the point of Liferay, it's easier versioning up the EMC IT software. Getting somebody to version something down usually cost a lot more because the market is limited. If you can't version the EMC IT software, I think that just means you won't be able to use igoogle theme unless you can get somebody else with enough spare time to do it for you.

Thank you so much for the help!

Please will you tell me who I can use to create me a custom portlet. I need to query a MySQL database. but It needs to find only data for the logged in user in Liferay.
And then I need it to write data back into the database.

So I think this will be two scripts.

Let me know many thanks
