I created a jsf portlet by using eclipse IDE, which is not working

it is showing the error in url partern

Error in console : The FacesServlet cannot have a url-pattern of /*. Please define a different url-pattern.

how I solve this problem ?

Make sure that the WEB-INF/faces-config.xml descriptor exists in your project. For more info, see related thread.
