Just wonder how many people still have community plugins that were uploaded to liferay's community plugin site. If you still have a copy, it is possible to obtain them so I can make them available from my site? There are still some users using previous version of liferay and it would be nice to collect them so they still will be able to use them.

Hey Sandeep, thanks for making these URLs available again. I think we should just make the existing plugins available on liferay.com (and we are going to email the developers of all plugins to remind them to port/upload to Marketplace once its open for individual uploads). Just curious, did you exploit some security hole or did we simply leave some endpoint open into the plugins repo? If it was a security hole, I ask that you please report it on issues.liferay.com so we can fix it!

Hi James,

Actually metadata of all the information of plugins made available using software catalog is available using liferay-plugin-repository.xml, which is hosted in your apache servers. All I had to do was get that file and make a small program to convert xml to html markup I needed for the blog.

Regards,
Sandeep

I thought you'd be able to configure that same URL to the xml file in your private plugins repository, but I tried it and it didn't work. Guess i didn't try hard enough! But cool anyway.
