I have a production Liferay system in which users can modify an existing web content. This web content is on a page with other portlets. Development is done on a separate Liferay installation. When I want to update the production Liferay I export the .lar files from development Liferay and import into production Liferay. To prevent the web content from changing I un-check Data when exporting .lar.

My problem is when I import, the web content portlets are empty. I believe they are looking for web content with a different id. Is there a way to keep existing web content on my production Liferay and import .lar files that don't wipe the web content out?

I tried un-checking Web Content and Web Content Display for the export but still got the same result. I think they are subsets of Data.
