hi All,
I facing a problem in deploying any port let.
whenever I'm deploying portlet it just shows... BUILD SUCCESSFUL, but it's not showing any message "portlet is available for use".

Is portlet is your custom portlet or official plugins?

From your description you seem to be using Liferay IDE. How are you deploying your portet? Are you right clicking on the portlet project and Liferay -> SDK -> Deploy.

Madhuri,

As per I know you are using IDE right ?

When you deploy your protlet from ANT window. It will display that msg on Concole and It will put WAR file in deploy folder of your tomcat.

You can cross verify it.

What I would suggest here instead of whole new environment just restart your tomcat remove your portlet from webapps + delete temp and work folders.

Might you portlet deploy properly and plus it will save your time too.

Thanks,

Hi , Madhuri Sonawane

Do you have any following kind of message in CONSOL while starting liferay-tomcat server.
INFO [AutoDeployDir:118] Auto deploy scanning is disabled for C:\Liferay\liferay-portal-6.0-ee-sp1\deploy

So , that is something liferay-tomcat is searching for .war files in /deploy folder regularly by particular time interval.

Now , all you can do is go to Control Panel -> Plugin Installation -> Configuration , Liferay by default set Interval of auto deploy will be 0.
now change Liferay by default set Interval of auto deploy to 1 or 5 (other than 0).
And try to deploy your portlet(plugin) again it will proceed after giving message build successful and unpacking xyz-portlet.war file and 1 portlet (number of portlets) is ready to use.

I'm having the same issue - I do not see "portlets ready for use" message though the war is deployed
I'm using Eclipse and liferay plugin. Any help?
