Hello,

I ma using Liferay 6.1.1.

My requirement is to populated a data when I add bookmark entry.

I have classes and tables using ServiceBuilder in the Hook. After successfully running of the service builder I have override some actions related to book marks. I am using *LocalServiceUtil to populated the tables.

I have also copied <hook_name>service.jar file to <tomcat_home>/lib/ext. Restart the tomcat.

When I am trying to use TodoLocalServiceUtil.getTodo(long entryId) method I am getting following exception :

com.liferay.portal.kernel.dao.orm.ORMException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: The com.test.todo.model.impl.TodoImpl Cache is not alive.
com.liferay.portal.dao.orm.hibernate.ExceptionTranslator.translate(ExceptionTranslator.java:30)
com.liferay.portal.dao.orm.hibernate.QueryImpl.list(QueryImpl.java:98)
com.liferay.portal.dao.orm.hibernate.QueryImpl.list(QueryImpl.java:79)
com.liferay.portal.kernel.dao.orm.QueryUtil.list(QueryUtil.java:169)

Can any one please help me on this?

Yes....

In my case, whenever I am modifying any *LocalServiceImpl class and deploy the hook, this exception occurred

So What I am doing now is...
Whenever I am modifying any logic from *LocalServiceImpl class. I did following
1. Stop the server.
2. Copy the created <hook-name>service.jar file
3. Deploy the hook.
4. Restart the tomcat.

That;s solve my problem.

so the problem does not happen when just deploy the hook, because for me it happen after i deploy my hook it means when i did any change (in jsp) and i deploy the hook so the problem occurre to resolve i have to restart the server, and restarting server after each deploy..emoticon
