Expected Functionality? - When the "Edit controls" button is unchecked, the dockbar pages still display "x" for the page - to enable deletion.

QUESTION:
"When the "Edit controls" button is unchecked, the dockbar pages still display "x" for the page - to enable deletion. Is this an expected functionality? It should not ideally show up when edit controls are unchecked."

ENVIRONMENT:
Tomcat 7.0.x
MSSQL 2008

It has been like this from before. I always thought it as edit the content of the page and didn't think of editing the portal.

Hi Michael,
The "x" will be display as you have loggedIn as a Administartor for the page and you have created these pages.

unchecking the edit control check box will remove the edit options to the portlets added inside a page only and not to the page added.

Hitoshi and Raja: Thank you! Your insight is greatly appreciated. That's exactly what we needed.

To answer the question: Is this expected functionality? - YES
