A couple of the communities in this Uni was in Open status and every student were able to see it in the GoTo Menu. Now, I changed the status to Restricted but still its available in the students GoTo Menu.

What else am I required to change?

Please help.

'Restricted' simply means that users cannot join the community themselves - they must send a request to the community admins and be manually added to the community by the admins - but it is still visible.

You probably want to set it to a Private community, which would make it invisible except to members of the community.

As an additional note, I think there was an issue with 6.1.0 GA1 about users without permission being able to see private pages by directly entering url. Latest 6.1.1 GA2 have fixed this issue.

Managed to fix it!

The problem is the user groups.

I clicked on the assign users and selected the user groups tab and noticed the students group has been selected. Once I removed the check, its gone from the students Go To Menu!
