Hi all,

First post so go gentle with me.

I have setup liferay, i am more than happy with imagemagick, ghostscript and openoffice, it all works great, but the issue I have is that I need to upload some 400+ page pdf's and it is killing the system because imagaemagick/ghostscript is creating a preview per page.

What I would like to know is where the configuration is that issues the convert command so that I only get the first page as a preview of an uploaded pdf.

I have a feeling it is in the database somewhere but for the life of me I cannot find where.

Many thanks in advance.

Sascha

Hi Sascha,

Try to upload your PDF on Yumpu.
It's a other variant to issue...

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, to be honest the system is working and setup and it was a little pain getting imagemagick compiled with all the delegates, ghostscript was a doddle but I opt'd to turn off the previews in the properties file today, it now produces a 1 page thumbnail preview of the document and not a preview for every page which was killing the system so I'm fairly happy.

8-) <---- thats my happy face.

Regards

Sascha

Just to make sure so other reader may know, did you just set the following in portal-ext.properties

dl.file.entry.preview.enabled=false
