Following on my previous question ("Is Social Office more or less than Liferay?"), I wanted to ask, what portlets comprise Social Office?

In other words, what does a bare Social Office install have that a bare Liferay install doesn't have?

Hi Jonathan,

Social Office is comprised of:

SO configuration
SO portlet (comprise of several custom portlets used in SO such as notifications, sites, activity etc)
Microblogs portlet
contacts center portlet
Private messaging portlet
chat portlet
Tasks portlet
Events display portlet

Hooks changing or extending portal behavior
documentum-hook
sharepoint-hook
so-hook
portal-compat-hook
deploy-listener-hook

And on top of that, you have all the portlets from Liferay Portal.

So yes it is more than Liferay. emoticon

I just wanted to back up what Jonathan says.. in prior versions of SO, it was indeed "less than" Portal, because a bunch of stuff was stripped out with no way of adding it back in. Now, with SO 2.0, it is now a set of plugins on top of the same Portal codebase, so for example you can have SO and non-SO sites on the same portal instance, with the non-SO site having the same set of features as a site on a Portal without SO installed.

Your question isn't really making too much of a sense with the recent version because Social Office is now just a plugin that can be deploy (installed) on Liferay.
If you go to Social Office download, you'll be directed to Marketplace where you can download Social Office plugin.
