Dear all,

I am facing one critical problem that, my custom web plugin, let me say one web application which use java,springs,hibernate. Functionality of plugin is not working in only IE browser, but works fine in mozilla and firefox.

I tried to debug the error, I got two script errors. First is in my custom theme which i have applied to my portal which is
1.
TypeError: $(...).offset(...) is undefined
I tried to point out the problem with firebug tool, its pointing out problem with jquery.min.js, its landing me to jquery.min.js line number 21
2.
document.formName.style.visibility = "hidden";
This error is pointing in jsp page but its landing to jquery.min.js

How to resolve these issues?
The main concern is functionality is not working in IE is very strange, what a poor browser? isn't it??

Its very strange..
But its also true that IE responds very strangely sometimes.
There are two things that you can do.
1.) Try linking the live jquery.min.js i.e with the website of jquery.
2). Try updating the verion of i.e and then do F12 and debug the same.

Hope this helps.

I resolved my problem, one error has gone away which was causing functionality not working in IE. The problem was document.formName.style.visibilty="hidden" was error line. However I managed it to return a value then its working fine in IE. but still fist error offset is not resolved.
This post proves that if webpage contains script error, it may not work properly in IE.
