I have 5 portal instances of liferay 5.2.3 that are accessible via the internet on our live site. However, on my localhost development site on my personal computer I'm only able to access the main portal (localhost). I've done searching, but I can't find a way to map these subdomains so I can navigate them on my local computer. Is there a way to do this that I'm not finding?

Thanks in advance,
Noah

Can anyone help me here? Unfortunately I'm on a time crunch to get this done.

Figured this out. So you have to edit your hosts file on your system to redirect traffic to a set subdomain to your local machine.

The lines in my hosts file look something like this:
test.liferay-site.com 127.0.0.1
subdomain.website.com 127.0.0.1

Note that you will not be able to get to these actual websites while these lines remain in the hosts file. Change them back and for to go from development to live site.
