there is a Liferay IRC channel (as well as for topics like Webspace, Tomcat, Glassfish, JSF, OpenSSOetc.) where you can also ask your questions... and get an immediate response!

It is active, averages around 15-20 users, not all active of course.. but it's fun and useful nonetheless (especially on Fridays emoticon ).
