Hi !

For adding search portlet in the navigation bar, add $theme.search() in the navigation.vm file. Here is the sample :

<div id="page-search">
$theme.search()
</div>

theme.search() is way too wide for me emoticon

Is it possible to get a search without the combobox for Everything/Commmunity?

That would be really nice. Maybe search() has options?

Do you have a custom theme? If so, then the code goes to theme's docroot/_diffs/css/custom.css

I would not put it in the search portlet folder, as the code is not used there. The css belongs to the theme having the theme.search() call in it.

I paste it in ..\webapps\ROOT\html\themes\classic\_diffs\css\custom.css . But it still not working. Any deployment needed?

I think its better to keep the following code in the portal_normal.vm file above the <h3 class="page-title">tag.

<div class="search">
$theme.search()
</div>

Thanks for your reply!. I done that. but even though i cant remove that drop down box. where we need to place this css

hi Arun,

If you just want to remove the dropdown, then remove the 'select' tag from the start.jsp located at (\html\taglib\ui\search)
