Hi all,

I'm trying to use alfrescos portlets in liferay, my setup is:

Alfresco 3.4.a tomcat 6
Liferay 6.0.4 tomcat 6

alfresco and liferay are in separate tomcats

I followed this wiki:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Portlets

thing is, I had to change the alfresco port from 8080 to other, 9181 in this case.

I got alfresco to work, the web client, and alfresco share working too, but when I add the alfresco portlets to liferay i get this error:

118:25:22,378 ERROR [PortletRequestDispatcherImpl:136] org.springframework.web.util.NestedServletException: Request processing failed; nested exception is org.springframework.extensions.surf.exception.UserFactoryException: Unable to retrieve user from repository

I am having the same problem, except I am positive (almost sure based on wiki's) that my share-config-custom.xml is correct. Can you post what you have for that file?

Same problem here,

alfresco 9090, liferay 8080,

share-config-custom.xml

I just uncommented the last config and changed port numbers to alfreso endpoints.

1   <config evaluator="string-compare" condition="Remote">
2      <remote>
3         <endpoint>
4

5

6
Access to Alfresco Repository WebScripts that do not require authentication

7            <connector-id>alfresco</connector-id>
8            <endpoint-url>http://localhost:9090/alfresco/s</endpoint-url>
9            <identity>none</identity>
10         </endpoint>
11
12         <endpoint>
13

14

15
Access to Alfresco Repository WebScripts that require user authentication

16            <connector-id>alfresco</connector-id>
17            <endpoint-url>http://localhost:9090/alfresco/s</endpoint-url>
18            <identity>user</identity>
19         </endpoint>
20
21         <endpoint>
22

23

24
Alfresco Feed - supports basic HTTP authentication via the EndPointProxyServlet

25            <connector-id>http</connector-id>
26            <endpoint-url>http://localhost:9090/alfresco/s</endpoint-url>
27            <basic-auth>true</basic-auth>
28            <identity>user</identity>
29         </endpoint>
30      </remote>
31   </config>

I also added these two lines in the alfresco-global.properties

1
2authentication.chain=alfrescoNtlm1:alfrescoNtlm,external1:external
3external.authentication.proxyUserName=

The solution consisted in adding "<external-auth> true </external-auth>" line...

1
2         <endpoint>
3

4

5
Access to Alfresco Repository WebScripts that require user authentication

6            <connector-id>alfresco</connector-id>
7            <endpoint-url>http://localhost:9090/alfresco/s</endpoint-url>
8            <identity>user</identity>
9        <external-auth> true </external-auth>
10         </endpoint>

But I have another problem I can't solve

Have you tried posting this on Alfresco's forums? This seems like it is more an Alfresco issue than a Liferay one.

At the beginning I didn't know it works only with Liferay 5.2.3 ... I figured that out after some time and I gave up on deploying alfresco share on Liferay 6.1.x ...Though it worked for me on LR 5.2.3 ... Thank you

Thanks it worked emoticon,

I also found another thing when we try to login to Liferay form the same browser window/tab in which you have logged in as alfresco user, it gives the same user repository error, i guess the "alfrescoCookie" is having that effect. the same does work if we try to two different browser windows.

Thanks, Its working fine for me. Now I am able to share the documents from alfresco to liferay. But I am not sure how to use this content and publish it to the pages. Please let me know how can I use this content in a structure as we use the regular liferay document library content and publish it using web content display?

Hallo!

I am a newbie: Tomcat, Java, Alfresco and Liferay....

Using Liferay 6.1 CE (Tomcat 7) and Alfresco 4.0.b (Tomcat 6) on Debian 6.03. Both running without problems now. Logged in as the same user with identical password, email adress.I build a site "Alfresco" (1 column) in Liferay, added "Share My documents library".

My Problem is: Activating the site "Alfresco", shows the site but brings as result a popup "Alfreso Please login over your portal".

For me it looks like a problem from Alfresco. Maybe i am false.

There problem could be because of 2 reason.

Reason #1: Check your Alfresco service is running.

Reason #2: You might have opened Alfresco and Liferay Portal in the same host machine. The reason why I am telling this is because when both the applications are opened Liferay is trying to use the same session of alfresco, even though you have logged in as a different liferay user. Because of the role conflict with different user (1 in liferay and 1 in Alfresco) but both the application sharing the same alfresco session, you might end up with getting this problem. So make sure when you are running liferay application and having alfresco portlet in it, you should not try to open alfresco in the same machine enven if it is a different browser.

I'm trying connect alfresco 3.4.17 ce with liferay 6.1 ce, alfresco and liferay are in diferents machine.

My share-config-custom.xml is:
<alfresco-config>
<config evaluator="string-compare" condition="Remote">
<remote>

<endpoint>

Access to Alfresco Repository WebScripts that do not require authentication

<connector-id>alfresco</connector-id>
<endpoint-url>http://alfrescopruebas.copv.junta-andalucia.es/alfresco/s</endpoint-url>
<identity>none</identity>
</endpoint>

<endpoint>

Alfresco Feed - supports basic HTTP authentication

<connector-id>http</connector-id>
<endpoint-url>http://alfrescopruebas.copv.junta-andalucia.es/alfresco/s</endpoint-url>
<basic-auth>true</basic-auth>
<identity>user</identity>
</endpoint>

<connector>

<identity>user</identity>
<external-auth>true</external-auth>
</endpoint>

</remote>
</config>

</alfresco-config>

And the error is the next:
