Is it possible to limit access to specific pages inside Liferay-portal using only the Tomcat-configurations?

For example. We wish to allow access to the login page (c/portal/login) only from two separate IP-addresses. All other pages should be accessible from any IP-address. Using Remote Host Filters we can allow and deny access to the portal altogether, but how to deny access only to specific pages?

You can setup a front end server with Liferay as a backend server.

@Eric

You can add a new filter similar to remote host filter to limit the access to certain pages from certain IP addresses.

Thanks for the answers.

After actually unserstanding my problem we went ahead and set up a separate httpd-server which forwards the traffic to the Liferay-server. But this gives us the ability to limit certain requests by IP-address.

This is the "frontend" previously mentioned?
