Not sure about your exact use case but you can use Google analytics with Liferay.

During a batch analysis on session log may be a solution but which count are you trying to count - access of a page or access of a portlet? With Liferay, users may be set to allow addition of portlets they like to a page so a portlet access count may differ from a page access count.

Another solution is to add logging into a code, but this will slow down the server and is not recommended for server with heavy traffic.

I'm currently thinking about using Talend ETL with JasperReport to do the analysis.
