I'm running JBoss 4 for my application server, but I don't want to use Liferay Enterprise (don't need distributed txns, ejbs, etc).

Unfortunately, LR's doco doesn't explain how to install professional in JBoss, just enterprise.

Would anyone out there happen to have instructions for how to install professional into an existing JBoss environment?

Thanks in advance!

All you need to do is set portal.release=professional in portal-ext.properties. The downside is that Jboss will still deploy all the ejbs even though they are not used. You can also disable those by removing the ejb references in web.xml and also making sure there is no enterprise-beans in ejb-jar.xml on any of the ejb jars. Hope this helps.
