i know i can authenticate with Active Directory, but can i also keep Liferay authentication?

I want to have both for a intranet and extranet. this way customers and our employee can communicate.

Yes, as long as you don't choose LDAP authentication required - only activated in Enterprise Admin -> Settings -> Authentication -> LDAP, you can log in with both methods.

Does anything happen in the log when you click on Add Application?

nothing happens in the log file. when you click "add application", the "add application" window on the left pops up and and the blue circle just spins and spins.

Then, unfortunately, I don't know any solution to it. But I know that you just get the spinning circle if you aren't logged in (e.g. if you have been inactive for too long). I just tried that and then i got a response in the log.

One thing though, have you marked the "Import enabled" in the LDAP tab? Maybe Liferay doesn't recognize the user even if he's logged in via AD, if he's not a user in Liferay.

Please let me know if you find out what the solution is!

Regards,
Patrik
