virtual host come with /home

Hi All,

I have portal on lr 6.1.1 come from 6.1.0 by upgrading process. Upgrade was pass without any error. (Tomcat bundle, Oracle database).
So, problem is when type www.site1.com, I get www.site1.com/home. (Home is the first page, site1 is the public site1 and virtual host set on www.site1.com). The other thing is when position is www.site1.com/secondpage, and remove /secondpage in browser URL, portal back me on www.site1.com/secondpage.

Generally, in my case no way to get clear URL www.site1.com. I have no idea what is the problem, migration, database, portal settings or so on.

Hello Igor,

Thank you on your response. I was prepared before everything like you specified, but problem still existing. Even if I type utf chars direct in jsp of pop up, display is wrong. Also, I try to set popup as normal window and have problem too. Pop Up does not set meta tag of browser to charset encoding. I think that is problem in calling script and I try to find how Liferay do that on their pop up.

Problem is that characters are not utf8 encoded on the pop up page. Another settings are database, JVM, JSP and meta tag in header of JSP are UTF-8.
Does anybody have any solution of proposal to that?

Liferay 6.0.6, Tomcat 6, Java 1.6, Spring 3 mvc

Hi Nawal,

Translation to Serbian has recently enabled on Liferay portal. All strings are translated manually and we are in phase of additional chack in terms of grammatical correctness.There are about 98 percent of translation strings for the Serbian language. All this can be seen on the write type Cyrillic letters. In the coming days I planned to prepare appropoite Latin version. Translation is very good and especially under the Control Panel section. Also, every day I check strings on new version of portal and make a corrections.

I solved this problem on way that I changed code in page.jep for Language portlet. In my case I only wanted to change Cyrillic to Latin display name for serbian language. In first time I think that there are any special code table in database or properties files. My solution is

Serbian cyrilic slowly grow up. There is still a bit keys to examine. I have one question. When I want to export .properties file I get next error

and everything works fine.

Yes of course, this is my origin URL which have a digit for articleId but does not work. It generate exception that not have role to view this portlet. For remember in 5.2.3 everything worked fine.

You are in right, I have already found this article. But, I really don't know where are the problem. I have template for web contents listing like news or asset display. Each row is the link for web content details like /home/-/journal_content/56/10122/30819. This value is digit. Do you have any example?

I have similar problem.
I am using Liferay 6.0. In previous version (5.2.3) I had something like this /home/-/journal_content/56/10122/30819. This is the link for maximize portlet view. Every thing was working property but after upgrade on 6.0 ver I have a problem. When I click on this URL portlet display You do not have the roles required to access this portlet.

Any solutions?

I set portal-ext.properties on that path. For remember, if I run both configuration independently everything works fine. In means, If I delete ROOT and start only PORT1 or delete PORT1 and start ROOT. Problem is when in webbaps I have both portals. Obviously there is a collision. I think the problem in automatic deploying. In my log file I found following:

I actually tried the following:
1. Started with the bundled Tomcat installation Liferay (ROOT)
2. The entire copying named ROOT in WEBAPPS like PORT1
3. Added line in portal-ext.properties portal.ctx = / port1 to a new web portal under the given context
4. In web.xml added

<param-value> / port1 </ param-value>
</ context-param>
5. in conf \Catalina\ localhost added root.xml and port1.xml with different database connections (ORACLE)
6. In the portal-impl.jar in hibernate-spring.xml changed

</ entry>
</ map>
</ property>

When I launch an independent portals that temporarily delete the one then the other, and Tomcat is started with a single portal every things are ok. First site localhost: 8080 and the other localhost: 8080/port1.
When put together and start in browser, then have conflict. Is there any idea what else to change.

I want to install a two Lifferay portals on Tomcat. Is it possible to do and two portals could work property on different context? For example in \ webbaps, I have two folders with complete file system (ROOT and PORT1).

Hi Julio, no way can not be all of these for few days to translate. Anyway during for more of three years of my experience with the Liferay platform lot of keys I had translated and followed by versions. Everything else I translated via Google applications, so would need revision.
