Also, replies via email must go through the Akismet filter, so that&#039;s why you don&#039;t see many spams.<br /><br />We turned it on to enable people to participate when using the website interface is too clumsy on mobiles, and it seems to be working OK so far, but have you noticed a lot of spam or other unwanted content?

I think video was selected because there are many users who do not know too much English. Video showing steps to do something goes a lot further to these users than documents written in English.

Just one more suggestion after attending coursera and codeschool lessons, videos should have subtitles for non English and a kind of test exams to be able to check if the student understood the class topics.

Liferay.com allows users to write wiki articles but not blogs. I&#039;m just setting up a similar system but with partner accounts instead of self-registration. We&#039;re probably be integrating with CRM instead of using something like PayPal (not used in Japan too much).

We are still not sure how to generalise the setup so it can be self-tuned by portlet users, simply because requirements for paid membership-based systems are too wide. <br /><br />Hopefully soon we will be able to find a common model suitable for public distribution and not requiring specialized assistance.
