Hi,

We have a server running Ubuntu Server 11.10 64bit with 12GB RAM, running Liferay 6.0.6 GlassFish bundle + MySQL

The following are set by default in the JVM options:

-XX:MaxPermSize=256m
-Xmx1024m
-XX:MaxPermSize=192m

Any ideas what to change them to if I want Glassfish/Liferay to use 6GB RAM?

Thanks for any help,

Ben

Take a look at this performace whitepaper : LPEE 6.0 Deployment Checklist
And don't forget that Liferay is a Java web application like any other and everything that you know about tunning Java web application is applicable to Liferay.

Thanks for the pointer.

"everything that you know about tunning" is very little emoticon

Hi Ben,

If you are interested in performance tuning, I suggest you to check the Symposium presentations about it. Michael Han usually has a performance tuning presentation which helps a lot! These are downloadable from the events page.
