Drupal has an amazing community that creates thousands of modules. Wouldn't it be nice if we can import some of those modules in to Liferay so that we can reuse all this great work?

Import Drupal modules into Liferay

Description #

The scope of this project is to analyze this innovative idea and see how hard would it be to create a drupal2liferay translator.

The ability to deploy a php module created for Drupal into Liferay would be a nice way to go in order to reuse thousands of modules developed by the Drupal community, link both systems and, why not, both communities.

Skills Needed #

• Required: Java, JSP, PHP
• Nice to have: Liferay, Drupal

Deliverables #

• A drupal2liferay conversor for Liferay 6.0.6
• A report defining the steps to achieve this goal in the future

This project may end up in a proof of concept, but will set the basis for future innovation.
