Suggestions for Improvements to the Web Content Portlet

Newsletter content type
Stale Content Reminders
Ability to limit the formatting allowed in the editor from the control panel (post)
Configurable server side HTML-sanitizing check for submitted HTML (post)
If somebody is editing WCM document, it would be impossible to other person to edit same document on same time or at least get warning message. Same should be applied also portal pages.
Selection of pre-defined content needs to be seperate,permission-wise, from changing Permissions that content and from the Sharing options.
Give administrator option to send emails, IM's, SMS, etc. when content is waiting to be approved as part of workflow (post)

I'd like web content to let guests to add comments. It's almost done it in version 5.2.3.

Here are some of the features I'd like to see:

* Ability for Asset publisher to have velocity templates for abstract view
* In web content listing, ability to have some kind of structure
* When there are multiple versions of an article rather than having each in the listing show the latest version with a drop down box to select older versions

Some more features for web content:
* Use workflow module for web content and staging workflows. Users with approval role should see in their tasks that there are articles and pages in the staging waiting for approval.

* All fields in web content should be possible to localize. Today it's not possible for title and abstract.

* It should be possible in the structure to mark which fields should be localized.

* Have possibility to approve for each language separatly. What I'd like to implement is a workflow where when an article is written in Swedish to start with then it is sent out on the workflow to the translators which write English and Spanish translations and submit back. When each language has been reviewed and approved it is published on the asset publisher.

Newsletter is a missing functionality that most WCM already had. I think it's an important feature to implement as soon as possible.

It would be great if the Structure's XML Schema Definition provides a Date option in the drop down list, which currently includes Text, Text Box, etc. in Liferay 5.2.3.

A corresponding web content form then includes a text field such as the one below and allows user to pick a date in a popup Calendar.

Structure's XML Schema Definition provides a Image Gallery and Document Library options in the drop down list. However, each such field in Web Content form is linked to a particular image or document. It would be great if we can also link the field to a folder or subfolder in Image Gallery and Document Library.

I think improuve Web Content Workflow is super important.

Huge feature missing: TITLE should be i18N!! Same for Abstract. In web content list or articles shows also the title (not i18N!!!).

* Enforce permissions model in Web Content List and Asset Publisher
* More elaborate permission choices from within the Edit Journal Article View
and / or * Content scoping based on organization, community, group, categories, etc.
* Rule based content personalization
* Content recommendation engine, eg. other users interested in this piece of content were also interested in this other piece of content

Hey - nice website, just looking around some websites, seems a pretty nice platform you are using. I'm currently using Word press for a few of my blogs but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it?
