Channel Sales Representative

In this role, you will be responsible to recruit new partners and "sell with" new partners. You will be expected to build a territory plan to grow the partner business in Australia. You will be expected to already have strong Systems Integrator Relationships in the Australian market place.

This is a sales position not an Alliance position You will be directly responsible for holding a quota.

You understand content management systems, document management systems, portals, and social collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Extend the partner business in Australia
  • Recruit new partners
  • Build a pipeline with these new partners
  • Assist the partners in a joint team selling approach to win new business
  • Forecast revenues timely and accurately
  • Increase revenue and retention rates
  • Proven ability to achieve monthly and quarterly sales quotas.

  • Perform contract renewal activities focused on the clients' needs
  • Build excellent client relationships offering value-added, insightful, and strategic input to their business
  • Develop and grow a pipeline of business utilizing existing partner relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of proven solution selling experience, preferably selling technology products or services to large international companies ideally
  • Portal, Document Management, BPM, Social Collaboration and Web Content Management
  • Must have strong existing Systems Integrator relationships in the Australian market
  • Proven ability to achieve monthly and quarterly sales quotas
  • Strong business, sales and financial acumen
  • The ability to be a quick learner and creative deal-maker
  • Experience presenting in a sales environment
  • Existing relationships with C-level leaders, sales engineering, management, marketing, and support contacts with potential clients to close business
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an unstructured, results-driven environment
  • The ability to develop new leads and follow-up on leads from inception to close in an indirect sales model
  • Strong presence and knowledge of social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • The ability to travel as required (expect 20% travel)
  • The ability to articulate and evangelize the vision and positioning of Liferay, our partners, and our solutions
  • Must have Australian Residency
