Active Directory Authentication - Broken Sign In link on Top right

I have configured Liferay 6 GA version with Microsoft Active Directory server for authentication. I am able to successfully authenticate it but I am seeing the "Sign In" link on the top right is broken now. It throws a Page not found error after redirecting it to /web/gues/login page.

I am able to admin the portal well after getting authenticated from AD. I have matched the AD screen name with one of liferay user name with Admin role and able to have all access.

I am running this on Glassfish 3.1 Clustered env and installed only the liferay war. (not the glassfish bundle)

I am using a custom context for this called lrportal and the sign URL is like this

"https://servername/lrportal/c/portal/login?p_l_id=10160"

Does this have something to do with default setup using all default portlets in bundle?

Any pointers/suggestion will help.

Does anyone have any idea about this? Is information not enough pls let me know and I can provide more details if needed.
I am sure people have configured AD with liferay successfully. Is there any document I need to follow.

Found a workaround to this.

I added a login page to the default community and kept it hidden
I had created and added Sign In portlet to the login page then .

This solved the problem. Not sure why this

I had the same problem. I've included a path in Home URL in Portal > Configuration. When I removed the path, the Sign In function was restored.
