IBM Sametime Integration in Liferay

Hallo,
Has anyone intregrated IBM Sametime into Liferay? I would love to hear about any experiences and strategies - anything from simple integration at the UI level to deep integration with other Liferay functionality.

In one project we integrated just some Javascript code, which showed by each user the status (online/offline). I think in general it should be not a problem to integrate the Sametime also in data/business level, it depends on the concrete requirements.
