Preview of PPT, DOC and Images in Document Library in 6.1

Hi All,

There is a preview of PDF files in Document & Media portlet in Liferay 6.1
I have tried with PPT/DOC/Images but there is no preview of that files.

Is there any way I can do that? Do I need to install any plugin?

Please help me.

You need to have openoffice setup and enable document conversion.

Is anyone aware if there is any other way to preview office documents without using openoffice.
One of my client have experienced openoffice to be unstable and causing frequent server crashes so we are looking for any other alternative.
