i am new in Liferay technology , iam using liferay 5.1 i was expremeting with the login portlet but by mistake i deleted it therefore i am now unbale to login into the application what should i do now . can i do through database to activate it again i am actually unaware of its tables. any help would my great help

Type c/portal/login in url after localhost:8080
You will get login portlet.

i tried this solution but its is not working.
i am using JBOSS for deploying my application . login portlet got deleted from browser as we do delete other portlets when i was expremeting with . i guess it has been deleted from database
can we add this login portlet from backend i.e from database.

there is another database instance when i run my application this instance by changing my instance from portal-ext file and then i deployed it in JBOSS it shows me the login portels. can i get to know from where the login page is comming from the database.

This is a out of box portlet and already deployed in your server.
Its coming or not uder application??

im not getting out of box portlet...

i have the older copy of the database which is being used in my application. when i point my application to it and deploy the login page is been visible. So can u help me to know from where the older database might be taking the login page. So that i can make the appropriate changes in my new databse accordingly.

Check in portlet table its active or not. Portlet id of login portlet is 58.

I don't think it will be deactivated. I think you need to check the log.

There might be some errors you might be getting in the background.

If you are getting some errors then post here .. we will try to resolve the same.

Their is no error been shown in the web browser.Only the login pannel is visible but the text feilds for username and password is not visible.
Is the login page bydefault provided by LifeRay and if so where it is stored in our Database or Code. So that i can check it from there.

Is there anyway that i can automaticaly login into the application by skipping the login page.By using some additional plug-ins. And then add the login page from control panel.

In your portal-ext.properties add the following property

auto.login.hooks=com.liferay.portal.security.auth.CASAutoLogin,com.liferay.portal.security.auth.FacebookAutoLogin,com.liferay.portal.security.auth.NtlmAutoLogin,com.liferay.portal.security.auth.OpenIdAutoLogin,com.liferay.portal.security.auth.OpenSSOAutoLogin,com.liferay.portal.security.auth.RememberMeAutoLogin,com.liferay.portal.security.auth.SiteMinderAutoLogin,com.liferay.portal.security.auth.ParameterAutoLogin

Restart your server and hit the following. I am assuming you are using test@liferay.com and test as admin credential. If not replace with appropriate credentials.

http://localhost:8080?parameterAutoLoginLogin=test@liferay.com&parameterAutoLoginPassword=test

Hopefully you should be signed in. After signing in first put the login page in page.

I have tried this auto login hook earlier and its woking fine with the other user. But the problem is with the admin password bcoz it contains & in it so the liferay is considering it as a second query string.
Is their any solution so that liferay can consider & as special charachter not as a second query string.
