Hi All,

Just deployed 6.1 and have setup a few users. I had a user that would constantly fail authentication at login, despite resetting the user's password a number of times.

I then attempted to deactivate the user and then create them again, however now I get an error saying that the user Screen Name and Email address are already taken.

Can anyone assist with how to resolve this?

Deactivated users still exist. Search for users in the control panel using the advanced search and search for deactivated users. You can then delete them using the action menu.

If someone's having that much issue, I doubt it is related to the account you set up. Sometimes it's just an ABKB issue...

Oh, ABKB is a common helpdesk acronym for "A**hole Behind Key Board"... There's also the common "ID-10-T" error (ID10T = idiot).

Used by helpdesk personnel to tell something to the end user so they think the problem was solved but boils down to the fact that the problem was their fault to begin with...

Didn't know you were in helpdesk. I mostly do pre-sales, development, and sometimes helps out operations.

Going on another sales tomorrow. I think I'll get this account because they seems to be very stuck.
(I guess I can't complain too much about 6.1.0 CE when it's keeping me busy.) emoticon

No, I'm development / tech lead / architect. But you can't do these jobs w/o interacting with the Helpdesk folks, and they typically have the best battlefield stories... That's where I picked up the ABKB thing, and it's just stuck with me...
