hi,
I need to upload images to document and media portlet by programitically.. I mean user should be able to upload images by passing the image url by outside liferay enviornment. I hope its possible by using Liferay http client but not getting how i will move forward.

if this requirement possible to achieve , can anyone suggest me how i ill move through it.

Hi Devraj,

You can take a look on DLFileEntryLocalServiceImpl class where addFileEntry method is responsible to add file in document & media portlet.
you just pass necessary parameter over this method and can achieve your requirement.

where should i use this class method(addFileEntry), i mean in liferay project or dynamic web project in eclipse.

If i create a liferay project it will create portlet but i dont want this, from outside envoirnment of liferay i need to upload. Is this possible to use above API in dynamic web project.

i am not understanding anything. plz help me

From remote area user should able to upload images. Plz suggest me the solution.

If you need to call Liferay services from remote/external environment then your solution is to use Liferay web-services.

For any service-builder generated entity, Liferay provides web-services & with latest version some of the JSON services as well.

Go thro' following links for more information:

You can use WSDL file to generate JAVA clients to access these services.
