I have a query regarding the version name for Liferay.

I am using the version/build liferay portal community edition 6.1.0 ce (paton / build 6100 / january 6, 2012).

So I want to know exactly which version it maps to " liferay portal community edition 6.1 CE GA1" or "liferay portal community edition 6.1 CE GA2"?
Liferay started to use the naming convention GA1 etc.

Because there were some issues related to Security , so those are fixed in versions 6.1 GA1 CE .
are these security issues are fixed in build liferay portal community edition 6.1.0 ce (paton / build 6100 / january 6, 2012).

Liferay 6.1.0 GA1 is suppose to be
Liferay Portal Community Edition 6.1.0 CE (Paton / Build 6100 / December 15, 2011).

Liferay 6.1.1 GA2 wasn't released till this August.

Where did you get your copy? Did you download the source from svn or github and build it yourself? If so, you only have a developer's version and not a stable Liferay 6.1.0 GA1 nor Liferay 6.1.1 GA2 version. You shouldn't use it in production.

Are there any documented guideline on the Naming Convention followed by Liferay for Releases ? I couldn't found any.

Below are 6.X releases published by liferay:
6.2.0 M2
6.2.0 M1
6.1.1 GA2
6.1.0 GA1
6.1.0 RC1
6.1.0 B4
6.1.0 B3

What does B, RC & M refers to?

Beta, Release Candidate, and Milestone.
