Disabling emoticons in forum post

Is there a way to escape characters on forum messsages here so they won't be converted to emoticons?

Having no answer probably means liferay doesn't support disabling it. Will add a new property on my version because this is a bother here so it'll probably be a bother to users too.

Yeah, I don't think it exists right now. If you send me a pull request with your changes I'll look into incorporating it for next version of the product.
