Sharing window folders over Liferay Document Library

Hello,

We have implemented Liferay for Document Library and this is using FileSystemStore
under ~/data/document_library.

There is a need for staff to access the files they used in Window shared folders outside office
but these folders and files are in a separate file server.

After reading the various postings here, I am not able find solution that allow us to link
the shared folders on the file server.

I noticed LiferaySync may be a possible solution but it will mean duplicating by populating
the window folder files to Liferay.

Does anyone have a better solution that using Liferay ?
