Portlet displays always on home page

Hi,

I recently upgraded from LR6.1GA3 to 6.2GA2 CE. I have a peculiar issue. Whenever I add a new portlet on any page or a page on a different site, the portlet always displays on the home page and disappears from the page I want it to reside. Any idea why this issue might be happening?

Do you see any messages in the log when you are adding the portlet to the page or after the portlet is on the page?

Not sure what could be the cause. Are there any js errors showing in the browser?

I notice you asked another question on the forums that also referenced your recent LR6.1GA3 to LR6.2GA2 upgrade. Did you follow the recommended upgrade approach described in the Liferay User Guide and let the 6.2GA2 startup perform the db upgrade? Did you examine the logs closely for any errors during the upgrade?

Yes, the upgrade worked fine with no errors.

For the other question where the left side of Manage pages is empty I get a JS error

"unable to get value of the property delegate" on the JS console.

can you check the layout table for the page you added

Solved..The open application JS URL was always pointing to /home in the theme...once it was corrected, the portlets are getting added at the right place
