Problems with liferay 6.0.1

Hi all, I recently took SVN updates of liferay 6.0.1.
I come across following problems if someone can explain me.

1) At add category section, non of the categories are shown. Although categories are added . It shows blank list.

2) when you add journal article, the status is always 'not aprroved'. How you do approved status. I dont want to implement workflow

3) How do I add validations to structre of journal articale in v6.0.2 as I want to make some fields mandatory and some validations on that before editor saves or update article.

4) Is there any way to select document from document libraroy and then add this document in the text editor so that text of the document will be added to content. Like this content of the document will be in the journal article without link to document.


Is there anywhere document for New release 6.0.1?

Hi All,

Add Application (more...) option is also not working in liferay 6.0.1.
when I click on “more...” option, the browser (I.E 7) gets shutdown.
and also there is not any exception.
could anyone suggest me what is happening here.

Is it a bug in liferay 6.0.1 ?

These are the bugs I have found using Liferay v6.0.1

Critical:

* Content Management is not usable:
o Get portlet unavailable error message when trying to choose a structure for a template
o Get portlet unavailable error message when trying to choose a structure for an article
o Get portlet unavailable error message when trying to choose a template for an article
o Get portlet unavailable error message when trying to open template editor: Get a NPE in the log

Social Network:

* Cannot write on the wall of an existing user or on the user's own wall. Get a permission exception.

Passible:

* In Control Panel > Server Administration > Log Levels and Properties I get an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException.

SVN latest version has fixed some of these bugs specially for structure and templates but there are still other bugs.

did u encounter the same problem that is mention by me?
if it is bug then are u sure that it is fixed in the latest build.

ya,same problems for structure and templates. This seems to be fixed but there are more issues.

Does anyone know if we can use JBoss 4.2.3 with Liferay 6.0.1? I know Jboss 4.2.3 can be used with Liferay 5.2.3, but I am not sure of 6.0.1.

for number 2:

Liferay will be bundled with kaleo engine (with some workflows definitions by default that automatically approve the asset).

Kaleo can be found in plugins.

I am trying to add Date as strucutre dyanamic element . I changed edit_structure_xsd_el.jsp and edit_article_content_el.jsp. It is working fine on Firefox but On IE it gives various errors. Have anyone added Date in strucutre.
Please let me know ASAP.

Hi All,

found one more bug..
The action buttuon which is used at servival places in liferay is not working in I.E 7.
it is giving javascript error 'one(...)is null or not an object'.
but it is working fine in mozilla and also if i login as an admin then it is working in
both I.E as well as in Mozilla.
My Liferay Version is 6.0 bundled with tomcat.

any help here is really appreciated..

I am also having same problem...i.e i deployed my-greeting-portlet in liferay portal server
as per developer-document.pdf .. i got deployed successfully in server
after login when go ADD-->More it shows error
Blank page is coming...

If you have found problem...plz inform me..
