Liferay-portal-6.1.20-ee-ga2 Chat Portlet Issue.

Hi Community,

I had deployed the chat portlet war to a Liferay 6.1 portal where I am facing an issue.

The issue is that I am not able to see online friends even multiple people has logged in to same portal at single time from different areas & we have enabled "Show me as online", the loading mask is only visible & which is going on. I have checked this functionality as super admin & as a normal user.
At the back end in console I am getting an error ( [PollerRequestHandlerImpl: 343] Invalid credentials for company id and user id ).
As there are several plugins in portal, I have checked this functionality of chat with deploying & undeploying them but issue still exists I didn't able to replicate the issue for same.
Any ideas what could be wrong ?

When I have deployed same chat portlet war to liferay 6.1 vanilla instance, it is working fine & there is no error in back end.

I am attaching screenshots of console & browser for the same .

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have experience with your issue but have you tried LIMS Messenger?

It shows all the users even though they are not currently online.

Hi Marcel,

As you have suggested for LIMS Messenger, I have tried this & it is seems to be working good. I want to know that why Chat portlet is not working with my stack but LIMS Messenger is working fine.
Since, I have to resolve this issue & I am not in favour that any third party app would be alternative.

You are not getting the PollerRequestHandlerImpl error in LIMS because it's using its own custom polling mechanism instead of the native Poller used in Chat Portlet. So it's hard for me to say what may cause the issues. Although the "Skip encrypting based on a null key" warning looks suspicious and may cause the "Invalid credentials" error.

Iam still looking for solutions, if I will get solution I will share status with you.
