WebContent RSS feeds returning each version of a published content item

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem as this:

a) Create a structure
b) Create a template for the new structure
b) Create some content based on your new structure and template
b) Create a feed based on your structure and template

Using the RSS portlet, add the feed URL, this was easy to view the results or add to you RSS reader

Now, go and make some mods to your content and publish so that the versions increment.

In the RSS feed you will now see an entry for every version

e.g. If you have version 1.3 you will see 3 entries in the RSS feed.

Is this normal? I would have thought that I would see the just the latest version and not the previous copies as well.

Just to confirm, the content returned in the RSS feed is the same for each entry, it is not returning a copy of each version.

I've just tried to use this too with Liferay version 6 and am expereincing the same problem.

Does the following issue address the problem you've noticed? It's suppose to be fixed in 6.1.
