Liferay Portal to Social Office

I originally installed Portal, but decided that Social Office is a better fit for my office. By any chance, is there a way to move users from Portal to Social Office?

Which version of portal did you install? If it's one of the 6.x releases, you'll have to build the social office plugins yourself and deploy them to your portal. There are a number of forum posts that deal with building social office.

Thanks for your reply! Inatalled Portal 6.0. Do you by any chance have a link to an example of one the forum posts that deals specifically with my original question?

If you're planning on using Social Office 1.5b, I'm not sure that you could easily move users from 6.x to th 5.3 version that Social Office is built on. I'm not sure how much the database structure changed from Portal 5.2.3 -> 6.x.
