Social office MYSQL database/schema

Im setting up social office with a mysql database do I need to remove any sample data and does the standard schema for liferay work with this

In my experience Social Office is clean out of the box, especially when compared to Portal. I'm not sure if there were any changes to the schema between 5.2.3 and the newer version that Social Office 1.5b runs on. I've loaded so-portlet along with the theme and other necessary plugins onto a 5.2.3 and only had issues with class names, not database schema.
