1) Log in / Register.
Liferay's community members can register their own themes, portlets, layouts, and other files. It's encouraged but not enforced to use an Open Source license, and you can choose to host the plugin files anywhere, so Liferay's catalog will just act as free publicity for your creation.

2) Fill in the "Add Product" form.
Suggestions:
  • GroupId identifies a group of plugins and helps to avoid namespace conflicts with the product id (aka artifactId). Use the name of your organization or domain.
  • ArtifactId is a unique identifier for a given GroupID. It identifies your plugin and should not contain any version information.

3) Complete "Add Product Version" form.
Suggestions:
  • Version Name: Use a common version pattern (ie, 4.4.2, 4.2, 12) so Liferay's Plugin Installer can automatically detect new versions.
  • Changelog: Include installation and migration instructions.
  • Download page URL and/or Download URL: Liferay will NOT host your plugin. Please provide a direct download URL.
  • Include Artifact to the Repository: "Yes" means your plugin will be available to install through the Liferay Plugin Installer. "No" means it will only be available through Liferay.com.

Type: Portlet
Licenses: LGPL(Opens New Window)
Author: COMMSEN International
Page URL: http://wiki.github.com/azzazzel/Liferay-plugins/custom-global-markup
Tags: css, html, javascript, custom
Short Description: Custom Global Markup allows to add markups (javascript, css, html) to every page in given community.
Long Description: Custom Global Markup allows to add markups (javascript, css, html) to every page in given community. It provides convenient management interface in Liferay’s control panel so portal administrator can easly add/modify/delete any markup (javascript, CSS, HTML, …) at runtime. Since markups are divided into entries each one can be enabled/disabled at any time. Markups can be placed on top (in HEAD section) or bottom (just before closing BODY) of the page. Portlet is community scoped, which allows adding markup to pages of specific community.
