LPS 6.1 - Extend "Teams" feature to Personal Sites

Since Teams are just a way to group users, maybe it could be use to organize relationships for users. With this feature, users would be able to categorize the members of their personal sites into friends, coworkers, or whatever they desire, and it would align with Liferay's permission system.

Unless I'm missing something, I don't think the concept of 'membership' applies to personal sites so teams probably doesn't make sense but as a pattern, being able to group or categorize your friends and give different access makes a ton of sense to me.

James is wright, that probably Teams is not the best way to implement the idea.
But I agree with Stan that it is a good idea to have a way to categorize friends/contacts/connections. Social Office's contact manager has something similar. Have you checked it out?
