Integrating Microsoft Outlook with Liferay Calendar

Hi All,
I am looking for some kind of info/doc on how to integrate MS Outlook with Liferay's calendar portlet.

I am using liferay 6.0.5. would appreciate your help.

But I want to sync up with MS outlook server, I think importing one .ics file will just update that event.I tried importing one .ics file into my local liferay Calendar and I see events till that point only. That means, I am not able to see any events scheduled after that import.
So basically what i want, when we configure email in our mobile, it gets updated calendar events. so I want liferay calendar should work something like that.

Okay.
I think looks like we have to do integration our own through ext plugin.
If any one has already done this please share your experience and I appreciate your help.

Hey Priti,
We have been researching and came up with our own implementation of calendar portlet based on requirements. Its basically talking to the MS Exchange server through Exchange Web Services. You will find these WS here http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/ewsjavaapi .

You can also extend Liferay's OOTB calendar portlet by writing a wrapper around these WS services.

I dont have any sample code for this demo but as I said in my earlier reply. MS exposed Web Services for Outlook integration and you can find the jar online. I just build client and integrated into Liferay. Hope that helps.

You might want to take a look at the NABUCCO Groupware App in the Marketplace. This allows the integration of Exchange Mail in Liferay.

In Calendar we can import only Lar files.I exported calendar from outlook as Comma Separated files.But it cannot be imported into Calendar Portlet.Can u lease help me in this?
